I spent months searching Facebook, Fiverr and Google for talented, fairly-priced cover designers who fit my budget, and had all but decided I’d just do it myself when I finally stumbled across The Author Buddy. I’d been looking at pre-mades previously, but here decided that the price was right to go for a custom cover. I’d been terrified of doing this, because I can be very particular about what I like and know that designers (like authors!) can be protective of their work and not take criticism well. But working with Perrin and Rachel was such a delight! They kept me informed every step of the way and we’re on top of sending me their ideas and mock-ups as they got them done. They were receptive when I took two of their mock-ups and butchered them together to create a look I liked, and came back to me with multiple options of finished products that I spend days deciding between. On top of being completely professional and talented, they’re also some of the most lovely people I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. This was a 10/10 experience, and I’m already planning on returning for another cover when my next novel is ready to go — and I’ll be looking at their beta-reading services, too! Thanks, guys!
