 Rachel’s analysis goes far beyond that of a traditional beta reader, and so going forward, her services will be classified and priced more accurately to what she provides, which is much closer to that of a full Developmental Edit.

Expect the same thorough analysis you already get from Rachel, but now you’ll also get your Quote & Teaser service FREE already included in your services!

☆ What is the new pricing for Rachel’s services?

 Starting September 15th, 2023, Rachel’s project rates will be set at $4/1k words to better reflect the level of analysis she provides, and to ensure that she has enough time to devote to each project. At this price, the service will include her incredible level of story analysis, line-by-line through the entire story, as well as the Quote & Teaser service.

 Of course! We have a whole team of beta readers available for beta reads, but please note that Rachel will no longer be booking beta reads or beta read pricing.

Our Proofreading Service includes a thorough analysis of your manuscript for typos, missing words, and grammar and punctuation mistakes. While our Beta Readers occasionally make note of typos and other proofreading concerns as they see them, our Beta Reading packages do not include comprehensive proofreading by default.

Turnaround time varies by service. We work in US Eastern time (GMT-5) and will deliver beta reading projects by end of day (please take this into account with your deadline). Rush fees will apply if 10k/day timeframe cannot be accommodated by the author. For the most effective and efficient beta read, we ask that the author not access the document during the beta read to make any revisions or resolve comments by the beta reader(s) until the full read is complete. We may make a copy of the document in Google Drive for this purpose, but it will be delivered back to the author upon project completion with all notes. You will receive TWO invoices for this project. The first invoice will have the anticipated dates of service, book delivery information, and non-refundable and non-transferrable 50% deposit (cost of half the anticipated word count PLUS any add-ons). The dates on the invoice are subject to change, since the project won't be reserved on our calendar until payment of the deposit invoice is received. The second invoice will be sent at project completion for the remainder of the word count.
